Melis Basaran (COM’22) is a junior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Classical Civilization. She found her passion in Public Relations after her first PR internship in summer of her freshman year with BCW in Istanbul. Outside of BU PRSSA, she is passionate about sports, music, and technology (especially artificial intelligence) and she hopes to integrate them into her career.

Maria Fernandez (COM’21) is a senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Psychology. She is originally from Portugal but moved to Brazil when she was eight years old. Last semester, Maria studied abroad in London, where she had a PR internship at Marks & Spencer. She has also had marketing internships at Unilever and The Harvard Shop. In her free time, Maria enjoys traveling, playing the piano, and watching Netflix.

Gabrielle Aberson (COM’23) is a sophomore majoring in Public Relations from Louisville, Kentucky. She is a proud member of BU PRSSA, as it's allowed her to meet so many PR professionals in the Boston community and taught her about the industry. She is fond of who are so uplifting and hardworking and continues to be involved in any way that she can.

Lily Zhao (COM '21) is a senior in COM, majoring in Public Relations and Psychology in the dual-degree program. She is passionate about event planning and fundraising and believes that positive change arises from communication. Public Relations Coordinator
Mei Lian Coble (COM ‘22) is a junior majoring in Public Relations from Bay Area, California. Mei joined BU PRSSA in her sophomore year where she solidified her interest in PR as a profession. She wrote press releases for the PR Unleashed Media Relations Team. Originally adopted from China, Mei moved to France where she learned how to speak fluent French. She's interested in film and television, and enjoys watching movies and playing video games. She hopes to integrate video-production in her career.

Jaliana (Jali) Griesback (COM ‘22) is a junior majoring in Public Relations and Political Science through the dual-degree program. She joined BU PRSSA and the conference committee sophomore year and immediately connected with people in the chapter who are now some of her closest friends! Outside of BU PRSSA, Jali is passionate about all things politics, travel, and dance. She has interned at WBUR and the U.S. House of Representatives and is an active member of BU’s Dance Theatre Group.

Arielle Warren (COM’21) is a senior studying Public Relations and minoring in Anthropology. She is from Long Island, NY and joined BU PRSSA as a sophomore. She has interned for at A+E and the Discovery Network, where she has gained valuable experience working with major clients and on important project team.
Outside of BU PRSSA, Arielle dedicates her time as the Senior Captain of BU’s national championship Figure Skating Team. Her favorite color is orange and she loves yoga.

Member Services Coordinator
Madeline (Maddie) Chase (COM’22) is a junior majoring in Public Relations from a small suburb north of Chicago. She joined BU PRSSA during the fall semester of her sophomore year, where she learned about the PR industry and met so many passionate BU PRSSA members. In her free time, Maddie is a big lover of movies (especially horror), music, and video games. She loves to make TikTok videos and has taught herself to play both the ukulele and piano.

Professor Stephen Quigley, APR, is an Associate Professor in COM where he has taught public relations and communications courses for 16 years. In 2011 Professor Quigley was presented with the Outstanding
Educator Award by the Public Relations Society of America. He is a former member of the National Commission on Public Relations Education, past president of the Boston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and a past delegate to the National PRSA Assembly. He was the recipient of the 2010 Diane Davis Beacon Award for Lifetime Achievement, the 2009 Boston University Outstanding Student Advisor Award, the 2006 Publicity Club of New England Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2004 Lyndon Baines Johnson Student Advisor of the Year Award, and the 2004 COMSA Faculty Advisor of the Year Award. He’s the lucky husband of a beautiful wife and the proud father of three amazing children (including two BU grads!).
